Accredited Exercise Physiology, powerlifting coaching, and clinical rehab programming at Zerow Southside on Lumley Street. Medicare-eligible. Bookings across the week.

About this location

Our Upper Mount Gravatt clinic operates out of Zerow Southside, 147 Lumley Street, a private training facility purpose-built for individualised programming. This is our main Exercise Physiology and powerlifting coaching base on the Brisbane southside.

Zerow is a private, semi-private style training environment rather than a busy commercial gym, which suits clinical EP work, post-injury rehabilitation, and serious strength training where focused coaching matters more than equipment density. Free on-site parking. Easy access from the M1 and the Pacific Motorway.

If you've been bounced between physios and personal trainers without resolution, the EP scope of practice usually fills the gap: clinical assessment, evidence-based programming, and progressive loading back to your sport or activity.

Assessment at this site is instrumented. A VALD force plate measures how force is actually produced and how it is shared between your left and right side, and VALD DynaMo gives objective strength numbers instead of a practitioner pressing against your leg and forming an impression. That is how we tell the side that is weak from the side that hurts, and how we judge whether you are ready to load again on evidence rather than on how many weeks it has been.

Founder · Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Logan Martinovic

Logan is the founder of Science of Strength and an ESSA-Accredited Exercise Physiologist. He works at the Upper Mount Gravatt location across the full week, primarily seeing Medicare-eligible EP clients, return-to-sport rehabilitation cases, and powerlifting athletes.

Logan competes in powerlifting himself and bridges the gap between clinical rehabilitation and high-performance strength coaching. The practice exists because he wanted the rehab world and the strength world to actually talk to each other.

Frequently asked.

Do I need a referral to see an Exercise Physiologist?

No. You can book privately without a referral. A referral is only required if you want to claim Medicare or DVA rebates, in which case your GP needs to place you on a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan.

How is an EP different from a personal trainer?

EPs are university-trained (4-year degree) allied health professionals accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). We work within a clinical scope, can bill through Medicare and private health funds, and are trained specifically for chronic conditions, injuries, and post-surgical recovery. Personal trainers don't have the same clinical scope.

Can I do powerlifting AND rehabilitation at the same time?

Yes. That's a specialty here. Working with strength athletes managing injuries, returning from surgery, or training around chronic conditions is the core overlap between EP scope and powerlifting coaching. The two pathways aren't mutually exclusive.

What should I bring to my first session?

Comfortable training gear, water bottle, any relevant scans or referrals (if applicable), and your goals, even rough ones. The initial assessment is mostly conversation, movement screening, and figuring out the right pathway for you.
