If you want exercise physiology, Medicare rebates, or you're training for a powerlifting comp, book with Logan. If you want gym-floor personal training at Goodlife Holland Park or general strength coaching, book with Joe Eccleston. Either coach is happy to refer you across if it's a better fit.
No, you don't need a referral to see us for exercise physiology. However, if you have a Team Care Arrangement (TCA) or Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates on up to 5 sessions per year. Splose handles the claim at booking.
Exercise physiologists are university-qualified, ESSA-accredited allied health professionals who work with clinical populations — chronic disease, injury rehab, mental health, and more. Personal trainers are fitness professionals focused on general health and performance. At Science of Strength, our EP also coaches, so you often get both skill sets in one.
Yes — all services are available online. EP clients can access telehealth sessions (Medicare-eligible with a valid referral). Training and coaching clients get app-based programming, video technique review, and regular check-ins. You don't need to be in Brisbane.
There's no minimum lock-in contract. That said, most training goals require at least 12–16 weeks to see meaningful progress, and we'll be upfront about realistic timelines in your initial consult. We'd rather set honest expectations than sell short packages that don't deliver.
We use Trainerize for personal training and coaching clients, and Splose for exercise physiology sessions and clinical bookings. Both are easy to use — we'll walk you through setup when you start.
